Lenscript exists because smart eyewear coverage is split between marketing launch copy and speculation. We publish what is verifiable, label what is not, and never present a prototype as a product.

Readiness levels

Every product, technology and future item carries one of five readiness levels. It is the single most useful signal on the site.

Commercial: Purchasable now, in volume, with published pricing.
Early Commercial: Shipping but limited by region, supply or developer-only sales.
Pre-Commercial: Announced with a stated launch intent, not yet buyable.
Research / Prototype: Demonstrated in public or lab conditions only.
Conceptual: Patents, papers or statements of direction with no working device shown.

Source tiers

Each source link is tagged so you can weigh the evidence yourself rather than trusting a citation count.

Official: Manufacturer specification, filing or press material.
Independently verified: Measured or confirmed by a credible third party.
Reported: Published by a reputable outlet, not independently confirmed.
Rumored: Supply-chain or insider claim with an identifiable origin.
Estimated: Lenscript's own inference, labelled as such.

The Lenscript Score

The Lenscript Score is an editorial assessment across eight dimensions, each rated out of 10. Where we lack verified information a dimension is left unscored rather than guessed, and the overall figure is the mean of the dimensions we could actually assess. Scores change when firmware, pricing or availability changes.
