Indicators exist for a reason

Mainstream camera glasses include a visible capture light. Defeating or obscuring it breaks the social contract the category depends on, and may be illegal in your jurisdiction.

Bystanders have expectations

Ask before recording people. Avoid capture in bathrooms, changing rooms, medical settings and around children. Treat glasses as more intrusive than a phone, not less, because they are less obvious.

Workplaces and regions differ

Many employers restrict cameras entirely. Several jurisdictions require all-party consent for audio recording. Camera-free eyewear is often the only compliant option.

Data processing

Check whether images are processed on device or in the cloud, how long they are retained, and whether assistant interactions are used for model training.
